Manufacturing & Engineering Brief
The Gloves Storm Custom Rash Guard is engineered for surf, open water swimming, MMA and BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), water polo and gym cross-training applications. Constructed from 200 GSM 80% nylon / 20% spandex, the fabric provides a 50+ UPF sun protection rating — blocking over 98% of UV radiation — while remaining lightweight, chlorine-resistant and quick-drying. The construction uses flatlock seaming throughout — a critical requirement for rash guards, where raised seam ridges would cause skin abrasion during activities involving contact with other bodies, surfboards, gym mats or water. The flatlock stitch lies completely flat against the skin on both the exterior and interior face of the seam. Full sublimation print is the standard branding approach — producing the vivid, complex designs expected from premium surf and BJJ brands. A 10cm rear zip neck opening option is available, allowing the rash guard to be put on and removed without distorting the neckline through repeated pulling over the head.
